Frequently Asked Questions About Insurance in Washington

  • What insurance does Advantage Insurance Benefits offer besides Medicare?

In addition to Medicare insurance, we help Washington residents explore individual and ACA health insurance, dental and vision insurance, and travel insurance.

  • What's the difference between on-exchange and off-exchange health insurance?

On-exchange plans are available through Washington Healthplanfinder, Washington's ACA marketplace, and eligible households may qualify for financial assistance. Off-exchange plans are purchased outside the marketplace and aren't eligible for marketplace subsidies. We can help you compare your available options.

  • Does Original Medicare cover dental and vision care?

Yes. Depending on your eligibility and circumstances, individual health insurance may be available through Washington Healthplanfinder or directly from an insurance carrier.

  • Do I pay an insurance agent to help me compare plans?

There's no direct cost to you for working with our agents to explore the insurance options we represent.
