WHAT IS MEDICARE?

A Federal health insurance program established in 1965.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR MEDICARE BENEFITS?

  • Anyone age 65 or older

  • Anyone under age 65 – who has collected 24 months of Social Security Disability Income

  • All ages diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease or ALS – Lou Gehrig’s Disease

People who have Medicare are called beneficiaries
